Starting early intervention (EIBI) as soon as a diagnosis is made is widely considered essential amongst child neurologists and pediatricians. The sooner a child starts treatment, the greater the chance progress will be made. It’s at this age that a young child’s brain is still forming and more “moldable” than at an older age. This mold-ability aids the treatment in being more effective with lifelong results and gives children the best chance of developing their full potential.

Pediatricians are recommended to screen for development issues and signs of ASD at 15 to 24 months. However, there may still be a long wait to schedule an assessment and receive an actual diagnosis.
